Nandan Joshi | India

A few years back, Nandan discovered that he enjoys drawing. Ever since then he's done murals, created comic books, t-shirts and doodles. A self-taught artist, he explores his voice, and style, by embracing his unique flaws. Being a digital copywriter by profession, he feels words are essential to his practice.  Mental health, self-acceptance, self-care are some of the subjects he loves to explore. He does this with stories that have hues of vulnerability and humour.  is a post-graduate diploma in Modern and Contemporary Indian Art and Curatorial studies from Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum in Mumbai, a post-graduate in Mass Media and a graduate in English Literature. This explains the varied inspiration in his work, and why he strives for simplicity and relatability. In 2019, he self-published a comic-book called ‘Mo, The Boy Before The Villain’. A Shakespearean tragedy of a kid who becomes India’s favourite villain Mogambo from Mr India. He has also worked with Scribble Foundation to create murals with kids from community centres.
