Tanya Maheshwari is a visual artist based in Delhi, she makes drawings, installations, murals, and wearable art.  She studied knitwear design and ventured into an apparel space only to realise she wanted to situate her work in various other fields, using both her textile study and line drawing practice, she developed a steady body of work as a garment maker and exhibiting artist, moving on to work independently.

The themes in her work revolve around personal histories, the inheritance of gendered identity, self-representation, the male gaze and hyper-sexualization.

She has previously showcased her works At the Goldsmiths gallery with the feminist library, London, The irregulars art fair, New Delhi and Regimes of truth: Apex art, New Delhi in the zine section. Her works have been featured in DNA newspaper, PLATFORM magazine, and Dysco App.
